Knicks vs Spurs NBA Finals: Series Heads Into Massive Game 4
June 9, 2026 | 2 Minute Read
The 2026 NBA Finals have lived up to the hype so far, with the New York Knicks holding a 2-1 series lead over the San Antonio Spurs.
The Knicks opened the series by stealing the first two games in San Antonio, including a thrilling one-point victory in Game 2. Led by Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns, New York appeared to be in complete control.
But the Spurs answered back in Game 3.
Behind a dominant performance from Victor Wembanyama, San Antonio earned a crucial 115-111 road victory at Madison Square Garden, cutting the Knicks' series lead to 2-1 and injecting new life into the Finals.
Now, all eyes turn to Game 4 on Wednesday night. A Knicks victory would put New York one win away from its first NBA Championship since 1973. A Spurs win would even the series and shift momentum firmly back to San Antonio.
