🏈 St. Clair Saints Football Home Opener – August 23
The St. Clair College Saints football team is ready to kick off their season in style! Their home opener takes place on Saturday, August 23 at 3PM at Acumen Stadium, where they’ll face off against the Sooners. Fans are encouraged to pack the stands, bring the energy, and cheer on the Saints as they aim for a winning start to the season.⚽ Forest Glade U13’s Crowned OSSTF Provincial Champions
A huge congratulations to the Forest Glade U13 soccer team, who clinched the OSSTF Provincial Championship with a 5–3 victory over the Topham Parm Panthers. This impressive win marks a proud moment for Windsor-Essex youth soccer. Way to go, champs!🏒 Windsor Spitfires Training Camp & Preseason
Hockey is back! The Windsor Spitfires are officially in training for the 2025 season. Fans can catch their training camp at the WFCU Centre from August 28–30, before preseason action begins. The Spits face off against the Flint Firebirds on September 5 at Iceland Arena in Flint, 7:00PM puck drop.🏆 GOAT Little League Team of the Month: Lakeside U9 Selects
We’re proud to feature the Lakeside Little League U9 Selects as our GOAT Little League Team of the Month! In their very first season, this brand-new Essex County baseball team has shown determination, teamwork, and heart. In just a short time, the Selects have gone from learning the basics — pitching, stealing bases, and hitting off live pitching — to competing in tournaments, making it all the way to both the quarter-finals and semi-finals. Their resilience, teamwork, and positive attitude (whether in victory or defeat) perfectly capture the heart of the game and everything we celebrate in youth sports.
